To our friends from the Carmel High School Class of 1980:
 
No, it’s not a mistake. It really has been 29 plus years since we sat “capped & gowned” together on the football field at Carmel High School in June of 1980.  You know what that means…the BIG 30 is coming! There is no way to avoid it. Staying away won’t make us any younger. The logical solution is to experience it together, where there is strength in numbers and where we can tell each other repeatedly we don’t look a day over thirty-five.  So that is exactly what we’re going to do.
 
It won’t be your typical class reunion. No suits and dresses required. No luke warm chicken dishes from hotel catering. No big price tags. No DJ that wasn’t born before 1980 playing “oldies” he only thinks were popular. Instead, we’ll do it right…a casual setting, comfortable clothes, good food, families, real entertainment and dancing for anyone that feels the music in them. Better yet, the proceeds for the catering, bar, etc. will all be going to a local charity. So don’t let any concerns about gray hair, no hair, a few extra pounds, etc., deter you from coming…we all have some or all of the above. We just want to see you, reconnect, meet your family, laugh and/or cry about the “old days”, and that’s all we care about.
 
We’ll provide more details in the coming weeks and months, but here is what we have so far:

Food & Drinks: An amazing barbecue & bar experience provided by Carmel Valley Kiwanis (www.cvkclub.org) with all proceeds going to support the special needs of youth in the area.
